Grandchildren are Fantastick!!!

SGMT's CenterStage presented "Sleeping Beauty". Aleisha and I have been helping on Mondays with the class. Gabriel, Christian and Jaycee participated and performed. We had fun watching their progress. What a fun time we all had.
Draven was a Santa in his school play. Grandma helped him with his costume. He was the best dressed Santa there.
Grandpa Kenworthy will be turning 90 in February. We enjoyed our visit with him. He can still sing and play the guitar and piano BEAUTIFULLY.
Don and I tended Jaydon and Ellie while Bob and Janelle went on an 'anniversary trip'. Christian and Gabe stayed with Aleisha. They all came up to Pine Valley for a few days. We had fun in the snow. We also went sledding.

Don and I went to Mikayla's winter dance recital. She is a beautiful and talented girl. We love to watch her. We are so proud of her.

WE ARE SO PROUD OF ALL OUR GRANDCHILDREN!

Family Is Special

We went to Huntington to visit Don's father and Flora the first part of December 2008. We stopped in Price to see Dawna's cousin David Dickey at this music store. It is called "Lee's Music". We had a good visit.

Stopped in Lindon at Brian and Aletha's to hug and kiss the kiddies. Carter was there. Aletha was tending him for three days. We had fun playing "Don't Eat the Turkey"!

That evening we went to the Jazz game with Chris and Julie. We had fabulous seats. Read the page. What fun we had hob nobbing with the rich and famous for once. Thank you Julie!

We had a family party at my sister Laurie's house on Saturday December 6, 2008. We like to take a picture of the sisters whenever we are together. Van was there but no left before we got a photo.

Leighton had a date. Isn't she cute.

Thanksgiving Dinner Again!

It was so fun watching Kyson and Carter on the stairs.
Grandma and Grandpa loves to get is those hugs as much as possible. Those baby necks are irresistible!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful children and grandchildren. We always feel so welcome in their homes. They created a fabulous "Thanksgiving Dinner" for us because we couldn't be together at that time.

Three Little Boys from Heaven

I couldn't wait to get photos of all three boys together. However it was hard to get them all together at the same time. It seemed that one had to have a nap when the other two were up.

Gavin is the oldest. He was born May 24, 2007. He is the tallest but weighs the least. He loves to give Carter hugs and kisses. Carter isn't sure he likes that.

Kyson was born November 7, 2007. He has really slimmed down and gets around with his walking. His mother fixes his hair so cute.

Carter was born November 26, 2007. He is the youngest of the three boys but is the most solid. He is a busy boy just like his dad. He has the prettiest hair color.

Hopefully the three boys will be good buddies as they grew up.

Heading to Reno

Don and I are heading to Reno today for a week of R & R. We are staying with Cindy tonight in Las Vegas. We will see the production of "Beauty and the Beast" by Signature Productions. We fly out tomorrow for RENO.

Last night we had a great time at Jaycee's 7th birthday party. I can believe she is that big already.

Kyson (Bret and Melissa) turned one year old last Friday (November 7). We were not able to be at the big celebration but we heard all the fireworks!!!!

Carter (Chris and Julie) will turn one on November 26. Happy Birthday to him.

We are hoping to go up North the weekend after Thanksgiving. That way we can celebrate with our two newest grandchildren for their one year birthdays (a little late).

GHOSTS and GOBLINS at GHOST TOURS!

On October 23, 2008 Don and I took Jake, Jaycee, Kaleb, Christian, Gabriel, McKayla, Jaydon, Ellie and Janelle's sister Shannon and girls to SGMT's GHOST TOURS. It was held in the new Santa Clara Town Hall.
We heard stories told by Ghosts with buried treasures!

Goblins all around!

One ghost lost his hairy toe. He offered us stew. I bet you can image what kind?

Great Dancing by the goblins.

All the grand kids wanted to go back and see these guys again. Of course they didn't want to get too close to them.

Tending the cutest kids in the world!

Don and I tended Jake (9), Jaycee (almost 7) and Kaleb (4) while Aleisha and Jason they went with Jason's family on a 5 day Church History trip. They left Monday October 20 and should be home in about one hour from now! The children were so good and minded Grandma and Granpa very well. We love them and enjoyed spending this week with them.
Of course we spend time at McDonald's! Isn't Kaleb adorable?

"Mom", says Jaycee, " I have something to tell you. I have a boyfriend."

"Oops"

Fun at McDonalds.

Kaleb had so much fun at Staheli's farm with his preschool.
Hey they just arrived while I was finishing this.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful children with us old people.
We're tired but glad for the experience.

DAWNA directs THE SECRET GARDEN

St. George Musical Theater presented "The Secret Garden"
September 18 through October 11.
I decided to direct the show only if I had plenty of good help. I knew that I couldn't do it if I had to worry about costumes, music, set, etc. I had a fabulous crew and a wonderful cast. In twenty years of directing I have never had such talented and dedicated people in all positions. My heart goes out to all involved.
THANK YOU TO ALL!

Thank you for the flowers. They are so beautiful! They were from "Speaking Roses" (Cheryl Hawker). There were words printed on the petals such as

"Thank you, Dawna" and 'We love you".

Bonnie Doughty playing Mary Lennox with Aleisha Kenworthy Black as Martha
during the song "Hold On"

Ryan Nickles as Dickon with Bonnie singing "Wick"

Andi Behunin as Mary with Errol Jones as Ben the gardener.

Archibald (Aaron Reep) adores his dead wife (Lily)
of 10 years played by Katie Salter.

"The Quartet" sung by brothers Neville (Joel Thomas) and Archie (Aaron Reep) with
deceased sisters Lily (Katie Salter) and Rose (Joy Thomas).

The Set was incredible.
Thank you Cheryl Hawker, Deward Wilson and of course my sweetheart Don.
The costumes were wonderful.
Thank you J.J. Vuki.
"I Heard Someone Crying" with Mary, Archibald, Lily and Ghosts.
A special thank you to Brodie Perry (Musical Director). You are amazing!
Thank you with all my heart to Kerry Perry (Producer and Ass't Director). I wouldn't have made it without you. You are my hero.
Karyn Wright (Stage Manager) you were the glue that held all of the pieces together. WOW!

ALEISHA as Martha in THE SECRET GARDEN at SGMT

Aleisha played Martha, Mary Lennox's maid. She was wonderful, funny and adorable. Her voice just filled the Cox Auditorium. She hit the money note every night in the song "Hold On". Below are photos with Andi Behunin as Mary Lennox.

Martha is trying to convince Mary that she will like going outside to play.
Mary replies, "I Hate it".
Mary sings, "If I Had A Fine White Horse"
"Oh Dear, Oh Dearie Me"

The Ghosts have fun with Martha in the garden!

JOSEPH COAT OF MANY COLORS

Matthew Prince from Las Vegas (and New Harmony) asked me to make him a "Joseph Coat". He was going to be Joseph in a production in Las Vegas. Well the production fell through but he still wanted the coat. Matthew is a very talented young man 16 years of age. He also met Christian and Gabriel at Thunder Ridge Boy Scout Camp this past summer. Matthew, Christian and Gabe came to Pine Valley in August for a day. We started the coat that day.
I mostly used scrapes from other projects over the years. It was fun but took lots of time. I didn't have a pattern or really didn't know how to make it until I got started. That is how I do things it seems.
There is a sun as a cape on the top. Check out the moon, stars, corn, sheep and cows.

The sheep! I did put ears on them after this photo.
Cute cow?

Corn patch.
Well Matthew did pay me but................. It is never enough. He is renting out the coat. Hurricane High School will be the first to use it in November.

GENERAL CONFERENCE

Bret, Melissa & Kyson came Conference weekend to spend time with us and watch Aleisha in "The Secret Garden". Kyson is getting so big. We haven't seen him near enough. He is 11 months old. Grandpa loves to kiss his neck.
"Hey Grandma" said Kyson "when I grow up I want to be just like Gabriel."

Gabe and Christian hoard the cinnamon rolls!

Look how everyone enjoys Conference!! Is anyone listening? Maybe we shouldn't have the chicken and noodles until after 4:00pm.

FUN IN PINE VALLEY

The weekend of September 27 Brian, Aletha, Brynlee, Kambria and Gavin came to visit us and see the production of Secret Garden. On Sunday Aleisha, Jason, Jake, Jaycee and Kaleb came up to join in as well as Annalee, Bryce, Draven, Taylor and Kaylee. Bob and Janelle, Christian, Gabriel, McKayla, Jaydon, Ellie and Aspen also made an appearance and we were jam packed with fun and activities.
Jaycee wrote a play and directed the "cute girls" in her production.

Another "cute girl" always has her camera ready.

"What do we do now?

Ellie decides it's time to dance in grandma's dress up clothes!

Natural Gas Car!!!

Don and I drove to SLC on Friday, July 18 and purchase a Natural Gas Vehicle. It is a 2000 Honda Civic. It is a dedicated Natural Gas Vehicle so we have to be careful and watch the gas guage - because it we ever ran out - we'd have to be towed. However there are stations in SLC, one in Orem, Springville, Fillmore, Cedar City, St. George and Las Vegas. We don't travel much more than that these days so..........................! Let me tell you how fun it is to drive home to Pine Valley (from Orem) for less than $7. It costs us less than $2 to commute from Pine Valley now. WOW!
Brian found us the car on Ebay. Brian can find the best deal on almost anything! Thanks Brian. He sure wants to get a Natural Gas Vehicle too! He and Aletha are driving down in Bret's Natural Gas Car toight for a visit. He will leave Aletha and the kids here for a week. What fun we will have. Thanks Bret for letting him use your car. WE HAVE THE BEST KIDS1
Aletha, Gavin, Brynlee and Kambria check out the interior of the car!
Look how pretty the flowers are in Brian and Aletha's front yard in Lindon, UT.

Aletha turns 29 on July 18!! REALLY!

Beautiful Aletha poses for a birthday photo with her flowers from her sister Chelsea and her requested birthday cake - strawberry shortcake! Brynlee thought that was a strange birthday cake! We love Aletha soooooooooo much. We are so glad to have her in our family.
YUMMY! So nice of Brian to make her favorite!
Aletha's mom and dad drove all the way from Washington to celebrate with her.
WOW! What great parents.

Ellie turns 5 on July 15, 2008!

Grandma made Ellie a beautifuuuuuuuuuul dress-up dress!
Isn't she BEAUTIFUUUUUUUUUUUUUL?
Everyone had fun at Ellie's Party in the backyard. Almost everybody got wet (except Grandma)!

Mikayla Is A Star!

Mikayla had a solo "I Can Hear the Bells" from "Hairspray" at her Musical Theater Review.
She was wonderful.
She radiated on Stage.
She even played the bride. Had to change into this wedding dress in just a few seconds.
She is pretty sexy in this song from "Aida" - "Strongest Suit"
GO GIRL!
