Beautiful Dark Haired Angel

My newest little angel is so cute as you can see. She is so delicate with lots of dark hair like her dad had. Bret and Melissa say she is so good............a perfect newborn. Bret carpools with four other guys to pharmacy school and three of them, besides Bret, have newborns and have all complained about not getting sleep and babies crying etc. Bret said they almost through him out of the car when he tells them about "his little sweetheart."
Myla Kim (such a pretty name)
She is so talented...........already learning to wink at grandma!
The whole family minus Kayson........who was just "not interested" in sitting still that long. Bret grabbed Griz as proxy.

Oh so cute!!!!!!!!!!!
Bret and Melissa, we are so proud of you. You have a wonderful little family.
We love you sooooooooooooo much!

TO HALE AND BACK

My young theater buddy from Las Vegas (and New Harmony), Matthew Prince and I traveled to Salt Lake on Friday, November November 13. There was 3" of snow on our front lawn when we left so I wore my snowboots and heavy winter coat. The roads were clear and dry all the way to Sandy (what a blessing). We went to my sister Laurie's house and I got a much needed haircut. She is my favorite hair dresser.
That evening we decided to attend the Brighton High's production of Hello Dolly! starring Madeline Weinberger, one of my neices' (Leighton) best friends. She was great. Watch out for this girl on the Broadway stage!!
My sister Kay came over to Laurie's house to visit for the afternoon and my other sister Carol came to the production. I was fortunate to spend time with all of my sisters.
Matt and I spent the night at Chris and Julie's house. We were greeted with the glorious fragrance of whole wheat bread in the oven. Wow! What a treat! My sweet daughter in law works all day, then comes home and bakes bread (not to mention she is pregnant). We had fun visiting with Chris and Julie and playing with Carter the next morning. We sooo enjoyed the whole wheat french toast.

Dawna and Matt

On Saturday, after helping my sister Kay with some computer problems (so you didn't know I was a computer genius?) we traveled to Hale Centre Theatre West Valley in a blizzard. The snow was really falling down. I turned on my lights, was careful and we made it!

The show we saw was "Curtains". It was so fun and done very well (as always at Hale)! Check out their website for the information. It runs only through this Saturday. One of the most fun things about the show for me was I knew one of the actors. Nathan Copier played "Chauvelin" for SGMT in the Scarlet Pimpernel that I directed in 2005. He was a DSC student. What a talented young man he is. We enjoyed visiting afterwards. However I had to have a box office gal go get him because the cast no longer comes out to greet afterwards (swine flu precautions).

Well.......... when we went to start our car........it was dead! I forgot to turn off the lights. Matt asked a nearby lady if she had some jumper cables. She was there with her grandson. We both looked like a pair (2 grandmas with grandsons). Anyway no one really knew how to use the cables so I called Don for instructions. The hardest part was actually getting the hoods open.

We headed for Lindon and tacos! It is always so fun to be greeted with hugs and kisses from Brynlee, Kambria and Gavin. Of course they became very shy and reserved when Matt walked in. Gavin really had to size him up with those eyebrows of his.

That evening we met Kay and David (David's birthday) at Hale Theatre Orem for the production of "Little Shop of Horrors". It also was a great show. We didn't like the ending as well as ours because the plant eats them but....... and of course there might have been a few other things we preferred from our SGMT production but it was very good! We have patterned SGMT after Hale theaters because we have the same kind of audience. They have been our mentors. Thank you Hale Theaters for all you have done for the arts!!

Sunday morning I was sweetly awaken by three little stinkers who took my blankie off me! They then gave me a spa treatment..........putting lotion on my arms, hands and feet and fixing my hair in barrets and elastics. (Sorry Laurie but your hair duo is gone!) Aletha took a photo but my camera was outside and I was too lazy to go get it. Oh I forgot about my phone. Oh Well!

We next went to visit Bret, Melissa, Kyson and Myla. That information will be posted next.....or you have already read it.

Thanks to all for making our time with you so fun! Matt remarked yesterday on our way home, "You have an awesome family". He is SO RIGHT!

I have now recorded the fact that I have been to Hale and Back! (And I took a young man with me)! Boy that could be a spicy musical!!!!

Thanks Matt for suggesting the trip and paying for the tickets!! Matt is a very talented seventeen year old. You need to watch out for him also on the Broadway Stage! Thanks for giving "Grandma Kenworthy" a great time.

BERGESONS' MOVING TO COLORADO!

Bryce and Annalee are moving to Colorado. They are excited and we are sad (but excited for them.) They deserve the best! I am sure that the people in Elizabeth will learn to love them as much as those in Enterprise. I have received many wonderful comments on my beautiful daughter and handsome son-in-law! Thank you for making me so PROUD!
Here is Bryce and Don taking apart some shelves to put in the truck!

Kaleb, Jaycee and Kaylee enjoyed lunch together for the last time for a while!

Pine Nut Hunting

We went Pine Nut Hunting with Fred and Lu Lundin in September. Didn't get to many pine nuts but we had a great time. They lived in Pioche, Nevada so we got a royal tour of that part of the country. We enjoyed their company and friendship. Thanks!

DRAVEN - a - DEACON

Draven was ordained a Deacon on his birthday September 20. We were so proud of him. He looks to handsome in his suit.
"Draven we expect great things from you. We love you so much! It seems so hard to believe that you are 12 when it was just the over day you were born, I believe!"
Draven was hit by a car shortly after his birthday and he walked away with only a few scratches.
"The Lord must have important work for you! He loves you like we do!!!"

All the cousins who came for the celebration!

Kaylee, Bryce, Taylor, Draven, Annalee, Dawna and Don

Christian, Draven, Gabe, Jake, Taylor - What a bunch of goof-offs!!

On October 16, Don and I picked up Draven, Taylor and Kaylee in Enterprise and went to Paragonah. We took our trailer to camp for the Deer Hunt! Bob, Janelle, Brian, Aletha and families came to enjoy the weekend with us. We camped on Janelle's dad's property. We had a great time but it was pretty warm and very dusty. John and Kristi Jones also joined us along with Janelle's dad, Ken Lister and Marv Jones.
Brian and Gavin. The great hunters!! Brian brought Bret's 4 wheeler with him. Thanks Bret and Mellissa for your generousity!Ellie is always cute and smiling!!!

Cute 6 year old cousins. Brynlee, Kaylee and Ellie. They had so much fun playing in the dirt building huts, etc. They had consent smiles! What fun to enjoy your cousins.
"Grandma and Grandpa love watching you!"

Kambria loved spending time with Grandpa!
"Grandpa's Girl!"
Draven, Taylor and Christian love Grandma's carmel popcorn!
"YUM! YUM!"

The Most Beautiful Place In The World!

Grandpa took Kaylee and Brynlee on a 4 wheeler ride and they found this place in Paragonah. Kaylee exclaimed, "Oh Grandpa this is the most beautiful place in the whole world." I think you are right Kaylee!

Grandpa then took Aletha, Kam, Gavin and I to see "The Most Beautiful Place In The World"! Wish you could all see it!

SLEEP OVER in TRAILER

Annalee came over to spend the night at Paragonah. (Bryce was gone to Colorado for his new job). Annalee enjoyed the peace and quiet on the couch!
Well not for long. Ellie decided to climb on top for a hug from Aunt Annalee!

It's time to pile on for a group hug. I hope you can breath Annalee! Nice hair mom. How come you look so good Annalee?
Kaylee was happy to have a sleep over!

Oh Grandpa.......you are so cute and cuddly! He is always a girl magnet. Love the hair!

Grandma Goes To The Spa!

I was treated to a few minutes of royal bliss from very able bodies who have studied for years.
Gavin made my hair look beautiful!

Brynlee and Kaylee gave a fabulous foot rub. I normally don't like my feet touched but I would lie down for this anyday!!
You two are great and didn't even tickle me!!

Kambria made sure my arms especially my elbows got plenty of attention (and lotion). I sure hope I can go to this special "SPA" again!

APPLE CIDER IN ALTON

On October 10, Don and I went to Alton, Utah with our truck packed full of empty milk jugs! Don's cousin Ferril Heaton and wife Dot invited us to their home to make pure apple cider.
Here is Don with his two cousins Carolee and Ferril. Carolee is washing the apples. Don is putting them through a chopper and Ferril is placing the chopped apples in cloth in between board pieces and then into a press.

Tiana Heaton (Ferril's daughter) takes her turn at the press.

Here is the cider coming out of the press. We would get about 1 1/4 gallons of cider from each press. It was my job to fill the jugs. The bees loved to get in the cider and I'd have to scoop them out. We were worried about getting stung but Ferril assured us that they wouldn't. He had been doing this for years and had never been stung. Well Don and I must be sweeter than him, I guess, because we were both stung!!! Ouch!

We left about 4:30 with 56 gallons of delicious fresh cider. The apples were also picked that morning. Now that is about as fresh as you can get! We had completed almost 200 gallons by the time we left to come home. We've shared with family and friends and have our freezer filled. Ferril also gave us a load of wood. WOW! What generous family members we have. Thank you Ferril and Dot. We love you guys.
