MYLA'S BLESSING IN PINE VALLEY!!

On January 24 Myla Kim Kenworthy was blessed in the Historic Pine Valley Chapel by her father, Bret Allphin Kenworthy. Myla's Grandpa Drake and Uncle Jason (from Cedar City) were there early and were asked to blessed the Sacrament. That was a special treat for us all. We went over to our house after church for taco salad and visiting.
Here is Bret, Myla, Melissa and Kyson!

Beautiful Myla in her dress and booties that Grandma Kenworthy crocheted. The quilt was also another treat from Grandma which had her name, birthdate, weight, length and "Kyson's Sis..." embroidered on it.

Myla is almost 3 months so I decided to make a longer slip under the dress. She is a princess. Melissa got a crocheted headband that matched so cute.

She even had a smile. She was so good during the blessing. Her dad gave her a beautiful blessing! We were proud of both of them. Grandma was even able to get her to go to sleep during the meeting. Haven't lost my touch yet!!!

The happy family.... Myla, Bret and Melissa.......(Kyson was having a much needed nap!)

She has grandpa wrapped around her little fingers already as you can see!

Aleisha brought Ethan so the little cousins could met! However they were so tired!!!!

ZZZZZZZZZZZ
Hurray..... Grab the camera!!! SO SPECIAL! Ethan even had his hand on hers but moved it before we could get the photo. This was close.

FUN IN PINE VALLEY SNOW!

On Saturday January 23, Don and I went to town to pick up groceries for Myla's baby blessing. We had to take our truck because of the snow so..........I thought..........."Let's see if Kaleb wants to come up and play in the snow". Kaleb loves the snow more than anyone we know!!!

Well Kaleb, Jake and Jaydon all wanted to come. (Jaycee was sick with a bladder infection which put her in the hospital for two nights!) Here you can see how deep the snow is in the front.

Here is Kaleb, Jake and Jaydon.

Don build them a slide in the back! They had so much fun!!! This is Jaydon!

Here is Jake!

The next day after church Bob and kids went out and dug a cave right under where Jake (in the center) is walking. I didn't get a photo. One of Melissa's nephews didn't want to go home and asked his mom if he could come back here because we had a lot more snow that he had in Cedar City.

FLORA FELL AND BROKE HIP!

On Monday January 18 (Aleisha's birthday) we got a call from Huntington, Utah that Flora had fallen and she broke her hip. She was out shoveling snow, slipped on the ice and lay there for two hours before anyone heard her. Her children took her to the hospital in Price and then she was taken to SLC. Don and I packed up our car and headed for Huntington to take care of Dad. Dad was so upset that he hadn't heard her. Dad pretty much takes care of himself. He can get around with his walker just fine. We just want to make sure that he doesn't fall also. We really enjoyed ourselves while we were there. Larry came on Friday so we could go home and get our home ready for company on Sunday.........Bret's babies blessing. However Larry was only there one night because Flora was able to come home on Saturday. She requires 24 hr care.......so one of her children will be there at all times. Flora has some great children. They have really been wonderful with Dad also. Thanks Dalley's for all that you have done for our father. We love Flora and wish her a speedy recovery. She is a GREAT LADY!
There was a lot of snow falling while we were gone to stay with dad. Larry went up one day to snowblow the driveway but when we got home we had to leave our car out in front and walk through the snow to our front door. The snow was up to our waist and we were laughing so hard that it was hard to make it. I wish we had a photo of that!!! Well we finally made to the front porch and quickly got our snow clothes on. I grabbed the shovel and Don took the snowblower. It was 7:00pm when we got home. I came in at 9:00 and Don was out there for another hour. It was so pretty. The snow was still coming down. We still enjoy living in the snow.

Here is Don after he finished the driveway. The next morning he had to get the snowblower out again and take care of the 8" that fell during the night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEISHA

Aleisha, Jaycee and Ethan were our special guests for an evening of EATING CRAB! on Friday, January 15 in Mesquite. January 18 is Aleisha's birthday...........32 years old! I can't believe it has been that many years since I gave birth to Aleisha Dawnie Baby Honey Sweetheart! That is the name that her dad gave her. She always had her dad wrapped around her little fingers..... and apparently she still does because..........well here we were in Mesquite!!!!

We all had a great time..........only eat to much.........which you have to do when you go there..... IT IS A MUST! When I look at this picture of us I can believe it has been 32 years!!
My sister Kay and her husband David joined us in the fun. They are staying in St. George for 6 weeks. It is always so much fun to have a sister close.

Grandpa Kenworthy

Don and I went to Huntington, Utah to stay with Dad while Flora went to her grandson's wedding in St. George. We arrived on New Years Eve! We really didn't do any celebrating except to be glad that we made it because the last 50 miles were snowy and the roads were pretty slick.Bret and Melissa came to visit on New Years Day. We had a nice visit. Here is a four generations photo with Great Grandpa Bob, Grandpa Don, Dad Bret, Kyson and Myla!
Bret, Myla, Melissa and Kyson. Such a beautiful family!

Proud Daddy!

Adoring Grandpa. She has him wrapped around her fingers already!
Kyson and Bret have fun jumping on the trampoline and playing with the two dogs and three cats!

Trip to Colorado

Grandpa and Grandma Kenworthy went to Parker, Colorado on December 26, 2009 to visit the Bergeson's. We had such a great time with Bryce, Annalee and the kids. It was fun to go with them to church, the library and then to Texas Roadhouse......where they treated us with delicious steaks.Draven is getting so big. It was great to watch him passing the sacrament at church. We had fun playing games. He would never let Grandma put her plate away after eating. What a gentleman!
Draven was always willing to go downstairs to the neighbors when asked...no matter the weather!

Taylor always has a big smile. He keeps busy reading, doing crafts, playing in the snow, helping his mom. Taylor loves to spend time with his Dad. Whenever Bryce was home you knew where Taylor was. He is fun to have around. Thanks for playing games with us.

Kaylee is a bundle of joy. She sure liked to cuddle with Grandpa and have him read to her. She would also read to him. What a great reader she is. She helped Grandma put puzzles together.
She is making a rug here.

They made a great snow slide right out their front yard.

When we went to Texas Roadhouse Draven got his face painted. Kaylee did also but she washed her's off. It was so cute with flowers, etc.
THANKS BERGESONS FOR TREATING US SO WELL. WE WILL BE BACK!

BABY ETHAN

Beautiful Ethan James Black arrived on December 16, 2009. He was surprisingly smaller than we expected. He weighed 5 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19"long. What a beautiful bundle of joy sent from our Heavenly Father.
Ethan had low blood sugar and was put into the NICU. That was sad but they took such good care of him. His Mom and Dad sure loves this little guy!
Grandma got to go in the NICU to see little Ethan and give him lots of love. He needed to be under the light for jaundice.

This is a cute photo taken when he was a few weeks old. Already picking his nose! Wonder who he learned that from. He was born on Wednesday and was able to come home on Saturday.
